Just a girls trip to the Santa Barbara Zoo! My mom, Bri, Ty and I. Such a fun day! It seems like lately we never get to spend a whole day with just the 4 of us, so we definitely cherished the moments! Of course after, we went to State Street (probably one of my favorite places ever!)

P.S. Please don't make fun that my mom and I match...I like her style okay!
Before we left, we thought we'd better try crushcakes a cupcakery. All I have to say is, I still like Dots in Pasadena better!
Ty didn't seem to think they were any better or any worst! Although, she isn't a cupcake connoisseur like her mama.

Zuma

We had our annual "Beach Day" at Paul Mitchell last week. All the staff and Future Professionals get to go and just have a relaxing day full of bonding, fun and food! This year we went to Zuma Beach in Malibu.
So these are just a fraction of the amazing people I get to work with on a daily basis. I guess if I have to work, there is no one I would rather do it with!

This is Annie (my partner in crime at work) I would die without her!

Annie and I stopped off at the Kardashian's store, Dash and Smooch on the way home. Annie had never been there and is obsessed with the Kardashian's...I know LAME (j/k/ Annie) but we did see Courtney in Smooch, so it made her day. =)

It's official

She is finally in the nursery. Wow, I've never been more excited for this day to finally come. My calling is the nursery but only every other week, so on my off week this girl is CRAZY! Let's be honest though, who can sit through 3 hours of church without getting a bit antsy?! We have to run around during Sunday School and get some of her energy out in order for her to be somewhat okay in Relief Society. So we are thrilled for this day to come. This week was my week in the nursery so we'll see how she does on her own, but this week she loved it!
Here she is on her first day. She is so funny the way she takes it all in before she will commit to anything!

Tylie will be 18 months next Saturday, I can hardly believe it! We got her pictures taken at this place I had a gift certificate to and they just emailed me all the proofs so I thought I'd share.

Tylie is such a good baby! I guess on Saturday she will officially be a toddler :( so sad! I know everyone says how good their babies are, but I don't know how we got so lucky. She is so sweet, I hope she will always stay this way! Some of our favorite things she does right now... She will come up randomly and just give us an unexpected hug or kiss. She does all of her animal sounds and it's freaking cute! I love the way she says "Mommy" it sounds weird but she says it with an English accent. (I will try and get it on tape, it is so funny) She has known all of her body parts for a while but recently she loves to act out the head, shoulders, knees and toes song. Oh and I love when I am in the bathroom and she will knock on the door and say "mommy" and she keeps knocking until I come out. It makes me smile when she talks to our dogs, the other morning I caught her bending down with her hands on her knees and saying "no no wiee" (for Willy) I said "Tylie be nice to Willy" so she said " hello Wiee"

Some of her favs include: loves to sing songs that you can act out the words to for instance, I'm so glad when daddy comes home, itsy bitsy spider, popcorn popping. She loves to dance and will drop whatever she's doing to dance if you ask her to. She loves to jump, read, play, laugh, scream. She LOVES to be outside and will throw a fit if you bring her in earlier than she expected. She loves the water and would live in a bathing suit if she could. Oh and her new favorite toy...balls, loves to kick, throw, catch and carries them everywhere. Oh this girl is crazy! Crazy sweet, crazy fun and we are crazy in love with her. Personality she does not lack!

On Friday we headed south on the 405 and left this all behind us, not looking back even once.

Shane surprised me and took me away for the weekend to celebrate our anniversary. He tricked me as our anniversary isn't until this coming weekend. I thought he was tricky but truth be told, our babysitter (a.k.a. my mom) wasn't available this coming weekend. Yep, our first time away together for the weekend EVER since Ty was born!

This is where we stayed in the beautiful San Diego.

The pools at our hotel were amazing!

Shane is the best husband, no seriously, where is the first place he takes me? A Robert Cromeans Salon! Just to give you a little background, Robert Cromeans is an icon in the hair industry. He is a Paul Mitchell platform artist and he is such an amazing person! (Google him, you will love him too) Sorry, back to the story. I have always wanted to go to one of his salons and finally got my chance! Literally our first stop! It was everything I thought it would be and more! Everyone was so nice and welcoming. I felt we had made new friends by the time we left! Oh and I didn't mention that we drove around for an hour and a half to find this place, and Shane was still determined to get us there. Lesson learned: You can't always trust the G.P.S.

We had such a great time just being together and it felt really good to just be the two of us, even though we were missing Ty by the first night! So the rest of the weekend goes as follows...

We laid out by the ocean.

We got to ride on this cool water taxi.

we saw this gorgeous place

LOL got matching shirts, and matching pictures to go with the shirts. Don't be jealous! :)

Acted crazy and irresponsible.

Laid out some more

Ate some good food. Shane was so excited to eat at Seaus' restaurant. Talk about an ESPN addict!

We went Kayaking. So fun!

Sat on our deck back at the hotel and looked at this.

We went to Sea World.

Such a fun and relaxing weekend, one I will never forget! Maybe this can be a tradition!?
