Can anyone enlighten me please?!

So Tylie is quickly approaching her first birthday, which means we can turn her car seat around! (if she is 20 lbs by then) YAY and hallelujah! The only problem is I have absolutely NO idea what kind to get. It seems like there is a million and one to choose from! The first stage car seat seemed so easy to choose from...I just picked the cutest pattern...just kidding! But really they all just seem so huge and look all the same to me! Some are $75 and some are $450 but they look exactly the same. So can anyone help a sister out and enlighten me please?! Thanks in advance!

lucky one

Here's the thing, I hate that I have to be away from Tylie when I have to go to work. I am so lucky that I have a job that will pretty much let me choose my schedule. So right now I work Tues-Thurs. It is so nice to work part time and then be with Ty for a 4 day weekend.

Here's the second thing, when I am at work can I really even call it work? I think not! I am the Design Team Leader so pretty much I have a group of students that I take around with me and we do hair and make-up for fashion shows, we promote the school and I go around to salons to help place these students when they graduate. So this past weekend we had a design team event in Big Bear. Paul Mitchell sponsor's Burton snowboards and they are having a demo tour across the country so we get to follow them and promote Paul Mitchell. What this tour entails is pretty much they set up a huge dome with all of the newest, latest and greatest equipment, like snowboards and bindings and anyone can demo it for free for the entire day. So while we are there they put us up in the nicest hotel, pay for all our food, give us free lift tickets, give us clothes and jackets to wear and we can demo any board we want...not to shabby by any means! I get paid for going and the students get hours which means that everyone is happy!

This is what the Paul Mitchell dome looks like...This is my crazy design team...love them!
These are the products we were promoting this weekend, and giving away samples of. Tea Tree and our newest Tea Tree Lavender Mint.

I have the coolest team so even when I am away from home missing Shane and Ty, at least I get to hang out with such awesome people!

Working hard while the others were on a run. This weekend was especially nice because Shane was actually in Big Bear with the young men too. So it was nice to have him hang out with us for a bit! We even got to go on a run together. It was actually our first time boarding together, but it definitely will not be our last, we had so much fun!

I guess what I am trying to say is that, there is times when I wish I could just be with this little face all day long

and hear this little laugh forever and ever

but I realize that it is impossible right now, as Shane is in his last semester of school (YIPPEE) and working so darn hard! So I've come to grips that I am so lucky, because I have such a great job that I absolutely love! I truly am so thankful, and one day I will get to be with these faces everyday!
In the meantime I guess I feel like I really am the lucky one!

Tylie and Football

Well she is taking after her daddy. She Loves and yes I mean Loves Football!!!! She has watched many games with me and is already learning all about the great game. She has even learned who to cheer for. Of Course BYU!!! Her Holidays were good but would of been a lot better if BYU had won their bowl game.

She has just heard that we are going to be able to go to a BYU Football game next season. As you can tell she is already counting down the days.

A post for my sister in-laws...from yours truly.

Well, it's finally official! I am one of you. I might not have read all of the books yet but I did go see the movie! In the beginning I thought it was a bit cheesy but by the middle end, I really liked it. It definitely peaked my interested and now I really have to get over my A.D.D. and find time to read it already! I remember a shopping trip to Ikea over a year ago and all you guys were talking about was Edward this and Edward that (at the time I had no clue what you all were talking about) and well it has to be said...Nicole please don't leave Jason for Edward! Jason is way hotter, but that's just my opinion. Ha ha, love you guys!

Big fan of Christmas!

So Tylie totally loved her first Christmas! She got so spoiled and loved every minute of it! I think we counted around 25 presents just for her under the tree...it was a little ridiculous and got a little out of hand, but we had so much fun watching her face light up! We were so lucky this year to get to spend Christmas with both sides of our family! First we spent Christmas morning with the Oborns.

Christmas morning after Santa had come

Tylie, Christmas morning. I often wonder what is going through her head! This pic. it's got to be, "Is this for real, all for me?!"

Her first spin on her new ride
Checking everything out that she got in her stocking.

Her second new ride that she got from Grammy and pop pop (don't ask why, my mom calls my dad pop pop...I know, it's weird! We're just hoping that it doesn't stick with Tylie!)

After we had the traditional Christmas breakfast, opened presents, played with all of Tylie's new toys and had a fashion show of all her new clothes...we headed off to start our trip to see these guys! Welcome home mom and dad Bulkley! Shane's mom and dad just got finished serving a full time mission in Hartford, CT. We were beside ourselves to see them and were so excited to start our trip to UT for their homecoming.

We made our first stop on Christmas day/eve to visit Shane's sister (Jana) and family. Jana is 9 months prego, so was unable to come up for the homecoming:( It was sad because the whole family was going to be together except for her! We wanted to at least have all 15 cousins together, so with much convincing we were able to take their two girls Zoey and Olivia. I wish I took a pic of all 3 car seats in the back seat, but instead got this shot of Livi! Too cute! This girl LOVES lipstick and would ask to put some on every time she felt that well, maybe she just didn't have enough on! Which
I of course supported being a lipstick lover myself. Isn't she adorable!

We headed the rest of the way the next day and had so much fun seeing everyone, especially mom and dad. We sure did miss them while they were gone, but are so proud of them and their sacrifices! Here is a shot with all 15 grand kids! This pic was taken when all of the kids were so tired from playing so hard and I'm pretty sure by this picture I could name a few that needed naps real bad!
So overall we had a really great Holiday weekend, full of what really matters in life...FAMILY!
